What my business card says:
What I actually do:
As the Office Coordinator I work behind the scenes to keep the office running and happy. I keep the beverage cooler fully stocked, M&Ms flowing, plan office events, help tackle office issues and constantly work to find ways that will keep our day-to-day operations run smoothly. Just consider me the jack-of-all trades.
Over the years my career has evolved from the administrative assistant to the marketing coordinator at a national HR software company to the office coordinator at Braithwaite.
Most recent success:
During my marketing career I created and launched an eBook that was viewed by thousands of HR professionals nationally.
Remind me to tell you the story about …
The time a team dinner during a trade show turned into being a retirement party for the Hofbrauhaus founder.
Book I recommend to clients:
“Gulliver’s Travels” by Jonathan Swift. I’m a huge fan of classical literature, but whenever I first read this book it reminded me about the happiness you can find in simplicity. Too often we’re getting bogged down by the daily grind and other’s viewpoints that we need a reminder to just take a break from the world around us and re-focus on what’s important.
What I do for fun:
Simply put, create. I like to refurbish furniture, sew, make soap from scratch and occasionally have a table at craft shows. I really just like to test my abilities frequently.
